Five of the runners in race 6 at Fairview today were very comfortably beaten by Eternal Hope last time out, and with that one along with the other two runners having finished a minimum of 9,75 lengths behind Favorita on her last sortie to Port Elizabeth, today’s result takes some believing. Even more incredible is that the stewards didn’t look into the result, or more importantly launch an enquiry. Yes, Favorita was reported by the vet as not striding out behind, but what about Eternal Hope. She finished stone last beaten 22 lengths!
Come guys, in the era of transparency this really is not good enough.
